On Friday, 19 April 2019, the “PNOE – Friends of Children in Intensive Care” association held, as part of its activities, a training programme on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and First Aid for the students of the Gymnasium (junior high school) and General Lyceum of Tegea.

More specifically, students in Gymnasium and in the first two years of Lyceum attended a first aid seminar in the theatre hall of the Foundation’s Cultural Centre, with the following content:
· Loss of consciousness
· Hemorrhaging
· Poisoning
· Electrocution
· Fractures
· Burns
· Head Injuries
· Spasms
· First Aid Kit

The students in the third year of Lyceum and their teachers attended the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course, which aims to provide the trainees with the necessary knowledge for the proper and safe treatment of health emergencies involving adults, children and infants who are in need of first aid, in a manner that is understood by all and with the help of the appropriate aids (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation dolls and brochures), and more specifically:
· How to deal with drowning in liquid (e.g. vomit, drowning at sea) and chocking on a solid object.
· First aid steps for unconscious patients
· Resuscitation position
· Prevention of transmission of diseases (CPR masks)
· Use of defibrillator
